Updated from a victorian cast fireplace to a solid oak beam inglenook package with a Bloomsbury ivory multifuel stove. This was the finished result – it looks superb. (click to see before and after).

Mr & Mrs Ogleby - Derbyshire

We are really pleased with all the fireplaces you have installed for us in our new home. The Bloomsbury woodburning stove with the Kingham stone fireplace in the living room is our favourite, the stove looks lovely when lit with the wide glass door. We will certainly recommend you to to our friends and family.

A recent fitting in Doncaster, involving removal of the existing freestanding gas fire and wood fireplace with marble set. Updating to a beautiful Victorian Classic 58″ limestone fireplace, polished cast arch with gas fire and a natural black granite hearth all from Acquisitions of London.

All the work was carried out in one day including chimney sweep and fitting of gas cowl with bird guard, and of course removal of all debris from the premises.

All work was done professionally, cleanly and to a very high standard! We definatly chose the right company for the job. Thank you Scott & sarah Sprotbrough, Doncaster

This was Mr and Mrs Lindley’s second stove fitting by Sherwood, this time in a more contemporary style. We opened up the traditional chimney to install an American oak beam, slate hearth and inner hearth, a waterfall inglenook interior and a moden Heta woodburning stove. They were delighted once again with the result.

Installation at a new property in Doncaster. The customer wanted  a Swedish woodburning stove however, the new property had no chimney. We supplied and installed a stainless steel twin wall flue system with a black powder coated finish. Scaffolding was required to run the flue system up the outside wall of the property. The customer chose a Contura 880 pedestal stove and decided to use tiles as a stylish way to create a non-combustible backdrop and base for the stove resulting in this outstanding contemporary feature.

The Regent Hotel contacted us with a view to replacing the existing gas fire in the Magnolia Rooms bar. A sympathetic approach was required to provide something stylish but traditional that gave good heat and efficiency but would also compliment the beautiful period marble fireplace. A new 5 kw gas stove was chosen. The scaffolding access provided brilliant views over Doncaster for the fitting team whilst installing a chimney liner and cowl with bird guard. The fireplace has now been brought to life and the owners are delighted with the final result.

Sue M-Brown - Oldcoates Doncaster

It was a refreshing pleasure to deal with a company which was not only knowledgable but passionate about their business. The finished result has exceeded out expectations. It is certainly the beautiful feature fireplace we hoped for. Fitted with minimum fuss or mess and treating our home with great care, this company has been excellent throughout. We would certainly recommend them as well as use them again ourselves. Well done gents and thank you. SPMB

Mr and Mrs Innes and their family had a beautiful new home built for them and chose a selection of fireplaces complete with gas and electric fires to complement the design of each individual room.

This customer wanted a substantial fireplace for the lounge to replace the existing wall mounted low efficiency, low output gas fire. They chose this beautiful bespoke natural Cotswold stone fireplace from Farmington Stone, with a hearth and chamber in honed natural black granite, along with a CL5 woodburning stove from Yeoman.

Graham Parker - Barnsley

After speaking to other companies I honestly thought that what I was asking for was going to be really difficult to achieve but you made it so easy. It looks great and it is just what we wanted thank you Brian.

Mrs Weir one of Brian’s previous customers, contacted Sherwood to ask if a multifuel stove could be fitted into her exisitng fireplace to replace the pebble effect inset gas fire. Brian suggested an Acquisitions Cannonbury 4 inset stove, as this would cause minimum disturbance to the fireplace. The chimney was lined with a flexible stainless steel flue liner and suitable chimney cowl with bird guard. The customer was delighted with the finished result and has certainly noticed the difference in heat output and running costs.

Mr & Mrs Bell contacted Sherwood regarding the supply and installation of a number of fires for their home. These were the results.

Mrs Tingle - Doncaster

The workmen arrived on time and were really efficient.  I left for work in the morning and when I returned the fireplace was completed, everything had been cleared and all the old fireplace taken away, the new one looked like it had always been there but it has transformed the room – I love it!

Mrs Clarke had a new build detatched dorma bungalow with a small chimney breast and she wanted a functional fireplace for woodburning. Brian disscussed various options and designs taking in to consideration the proportion of the fireplace and stove required for the limited space. Mrs Clarke chose this lovely contemporary fireplace in Semi Rijou natural limestone complemented with a honed natural black granite hearth and a skamol interior fitted with a Newton 5kw woodburning matt black stove. Mrs Clarke was delighted with the end result.
